The key benefits of using CM-X are numerous. Firstly, its mild organic-salt
complex makes it practically non-fuming and much less odorous than other
straight-hydrochloric acid-based products. Secondly, it dissolves concrete and
lime scale quickly, and even has corrosion inhibitors to prevent attack of bare iron and steel. Thirdly, it removes rust and hard-water scale and has a detergent
action, making it effective on oily surfaces too.
So how does it work? The acidity in this product dissolves the lime component in concrete, resulting in water-soluble salts that can be easily washed away.
CM-X is ideal for use on concrete mixing trucks, portable concrete mixers, floats,
trowels, level screeders, and concrete pumps. It can be used on plastics and
paintwork that is in reasonable condition, and it will have little effect on steel,
stainless steel, and iron. It should not be used on zinc or aluminium, especially at
high temperatures.
For the best results, dilute CM-X to at least 1 in 5 before using it on ceramic tiles,
slate, terra cotta, or brickwork. However, it should not be used on marble,
terrazzo, laminates, and other acid-sensitive surfaces, as it can dissolve
concrete.
